Breastfeeding pt 2

I've made it to my 2nd short-term breastfeeding goal.  I have officially breastfed both of my children for 12 weeks now.  It has become easier to do.  I've even been able to nurse in public.  (Although it is one child at a time- not tandem) The cuddly moments are still few and far between, but they are there.  It is feeling less like a full-time job and is becoming more enjoyable.  I believe this is due to the fact that they are nursing less at night which allows me to get more sleep.  My next short-term breastfeeding goal is to make it to 6 months.

I breastfed my daughter for 18 months and never had many cuddly moments. I started out hating it and then it got easier and then I felt like I had to keep on feeding for as long as I could. It was never a very natural process for either of us but one that both of us got a great deal of satisfaction from. I look back on it now with a great feeling of satisfaction and a job well done. I did the same as you and set short goals and before we knew it we were at 18 months and she weaned herself very naturally. Best of luck feeding, I'm sure you'll get to all your targets.
